About Joe Deegan
Racing Sundown is an opportunity to share my perspective on photography. I interact with the visual environment-- using my camera to capture, comment on, and rearticulate the texture of my surroundings-- and give you the results. I chose the name for two reasons. It's a song. Secondly, when it comes to shooting, I find myself racing against the clock in the evening hours just before dusk. Photography EquipmentPhotos are taken with a Canon EOS 450D. I use the Canon 18-55mm kit lens that came with the camera, paired with a cheap UV filter. All shots are taken in RAW mode when possible. Older work was done with either my trusty Fujifilm S5100, or whichever point-and-shoot was laying around at the time. I edit with Aperture 2 and Photoshop CS3 on my Macbook Pro 17". |
